What is BRANCH?
Bridging Research and Aurora Neighborhoods for Community Health (BRANCH) is a University of Colorado, Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC) multidisciplinary student, faculty, and staff organization dedicated to becoming a sustained partner with Aurora communities by promoting, supporting, and implementing programs that encourage Aurora community members to take an active role in their own health and the health of their community. BRANCH is committed to providing AMC professional students with community-based educational experiences and Aurora Community members the chance to benefit directly from the health care opportunities available at the AMC.
Where We Live…
BRANCH was founded in March, 2010 and is associated with the Department of Family Medicine (DFM) and the Colorado Area Health Education Center (AHEC) at the AMC. DFM and AHEC faculty advisors offer experience and community connections essential to BRANCH’s ongoing success and sustainability.
